Why is it Important to Use Low Levels of Chlorine?
iONRx® safely, effectively, and consistently sanitizes the water in your hot tub or spa; however, it does not provide oxidation that is essential to keep the water looking clear. To accomplish this goal, we recommend adding an ultra-low level of chlorine, as low as found in typical tap water. This is usually accomplished by adding one chlorine tablet per week or two tablespoons of granular chlorine per week. We find this to be the easiest method to keep your water clean and clear. Our clients find that this low level of chlorine eliminates skin and eye irritations, allergic reactions, foul odors, and minimizes the corrosive damage to equipment.
